Tribute to Piazzolla
Triangulo Trio
Tribute to Astor Piazzolla
In the 10th anniversary of his death
Bandoneón player, composer, and arranger Astor Piazzolla brought to tango influences as diverse as jazz, contemporary classicism and Italian opera, out of which he distilled Nuevo Tango (‘New Tango’). his led to a tango revolution that continues to grow until today. In time Piazzolla was recognized as inspirational in music as his compatriot Jorge Luis Borges was in literature. This programme reflects a wide range of Piazzolla’s output, including his collaboration with Borges and Horacio Ferrer, author of the lyrics for his 'little tango opera' María de Buenos Aires.
